We started in the morning when the mist still clung to the ground and continued into the clear sunshine of the afternoon. It was the middle of the rutting season for deer and you know what that means; the sound of the nearby stream rushing full of rain water broken by the sound of horny deer chasing tail around the hills.
It was such a hot day, hotter than the day before. Looking back on it know, maybe we should have picked chillin in the garden with a G&T. Hindsight is 20/20, huh?
The ride only became better the deeper we went into the District, the water was splashing happily with the slight breeze, reflecting the sunshine and the sail boats were out in great numbers
